Personalized Menus

Let's play 'Where's that option?' Let's play 'Where's that option?'

Thank God you can turn these things off. From Windows XP documentation:

Microsoft Office automatically customizes menus and toolbars based on how often you use the commands. When you first start an Office program, only the most basic commands appear. Then, as you work, the menus and toolbars adjust so that only the commands and toolbar buttons you use most often appear.

Who the hell thought this was a good idea? Changing menus around is far more likely to result in confusion than anything else. Remember that option that you found over here yesterday? Well, we've moved it over there for your convenience. Don't even bother trying to do something when a friend is logged in. Just more examples that Billy G is running out of excuses to force you to upgrade.
